Comment: Two or more people working together is an effective way of achieving success in any organisation. It is a common saying, “divided we fall”. In working together everyone in the organisation has a task to perform. Every one is duty bound to do things with the same spirit, zeal and effort. Helping each other is also key to meet the goal.
So it should be in God’s Kingdom Organisation. King David sang: “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” – Psalm 133:1.
Common sense tells us that people can accomplish more by working together than they can by working apart. Alone we can do so little but together we can do so much. King Solomon stated: “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; he hath not another to help him up. And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” – Eccl. 4:9-12.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of life. Help us to work together as a team for the growth of your Church. Grant us the grace and the courage we need to sacrifice for the good of the church when necessary and the wisdom to know when to do so. May we follow the example of your son Jesus Christ as we interact with each other every day by your grace. Amen.
