OUR ANNUAL EVENTS
In pursuance of the fundamental objectives of the Mission, weekly divine services, study and prayer meetings, fellowship forum, public Bible Lectures, Radio/TV broadcast and other specific events are held.
The first event of the year is the GKM Anniversary – usually observed in January with thanksgiving and to bring into memory the circumstances under which the God’s Kingdom Mission sprang up out of the foundation laid by St. G. M. Urhobo in Christ to the glory of God the Father, and for the benefit of His children. It is an opportunity to review how the Mission is faring and resolve to work harder in furtherance of the gospel.
St. G. M. Urhobo Memorial Lecture is another event that usually takes place in February. It is an occasion to focus on the good works of the Saint, expound on his visions as manifest in the beautiful soul-stirring doctrines he taught and to keep his memory aglow for posterity. Indeed, “The righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.” – Psalm 112:6
Freedom Day Celebration is the commemoration of the auspicious birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world, in the month of October observed annually. It has continued to gain ground and popularity to the glory of God.
The Christian Feast of Tabernacles observed in December is an annual celebration in obedience to the Lord’s prophetic command. (Zech. 14:16-19) It usually lasted eight days – Sunday to Sunday. It was celebrated by Jesus Christ (John 7:1-39) and all true worshippers of God in this age of the end-time are enjoined to observe it in order to be blessed by God.
