    BEWARE OF FALSE PROSPERITY!

“The Tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; in whose hand God bringeth abundantly.”- Job 12:6.

*Comment:* There are two types of prosperity: true and false. Everyone strives for success, desiring wealth, possessions, and a good life. However, it is essential to be mindful of the means by which we achieve wealth, ensuring that our methods are upright and not compromised.

False prosperity, rooted in Satan’s influence, is achieved through corrupt means like bribery, robbery, and deceit. Those who engage in such practices may seem secure and prosperous, becoming objects of envy. However, Psalm 73:2-12 highlights the Psalmist’s concern about the prosperity of the wicked, feeling envious of how they thrive. He found solace in understanding their ultimate fate after reflecting in God’s sanctuary, that their end is disastrous (Psalm 73:16-18). Jeremiah also condemned false prophets who accumulate wealth through deception (Jeremiah 5:26-31).

King Solomon stated it all, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.Though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God.” – Ecclesiastes 8:11-13.

True prosperity comes from God. King Solomon wrote, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and He added no sorrow with it. – Proverbs 10:22

*Prayer:* Our Great God and Father in heaven. We can do nothing of ourselves. So we look to You Father to inspire us to fear You and separate ourselves from ungodly or false prosperity which is unprofitable. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
