BE STRONG IN THE LORD
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” Ephesians 6:10-11
Comment: It is common knowledge that the devil is going about seeking whom to devour. St Paul’s advice is very apt. We require strong faith to overcome the tribulations orchestrated by Satan the devil and be in favour with God.
We must have implicit faith in God Almighty. We should actively engage in the works of righteousness while waiting patiently for our desires.
We are exhorted by St. Paul to learn from the patience of Jesus Christ who “endured such contradiction of sinners against himself lest we be wearied and faint in our minds” Hebrews 12:3. No matter the tribulation we face, we must not give up. “… We are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” – Hebrews 10:35-39.
Prayer: May Jehovah our heavenly Father give us the strength to overcome all our temptations and may He always give us peace through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
