DO NOT REBEL AGAINST GOD’S WORD!
“Wherefore (as the Holy Spirit saith) Today, if ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts, ….” – Hebrew 3:7,8.
*Comment:* God Almighty speaks to us every day. In ancient times, He spoke to His people by the angel of His presence, then by the prophets or to our hearts directly. – Isaiah 63:9; 2 Peter 1:21
But in this age, God speaks to us by His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 1:1-3). Jesus Christ, the Word of God also speaks to us by the word he has spoken as written in the Holy Bible using the true anointed remnants of the Apostles, their companions & associates. – Ephesians 4:11-14
Every doctrine, divine instructions, promises and judgements of God are true, righteous, and faithful. A godly child or Christian will believe, obey and will not be stubborn or rebellious. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. (1 Samuel 15:22,23). God said through King Solomon, ” An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore, a cruel messenger shall be sent against him. – Proverbs 17:11
The clarion call therefore is for you, me, and all God’s children to obey and not harden our hearts. Let us trust and obey, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. Isaiah stated: ” If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword….” (destroyed). – Isaiah 1:19,20
*Prayer:* O heavenly Father Jehovah, give us Your word and help us to obey. For sin reign in our hearts. Help us to always remember to resist the devil and submit to Thy word. Bless us with the Spirit of faith and obedience for our blessings through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
