    EFFECT OF GOD’S PRESENCE

“And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.” – Exodus 33:2

Comment: Effect of the presence of God continues here.

4, God’s presence gives courage to His people to face squarely life’s battles or difficulties. God said to Israel, “When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And it shall be, when ye are come nigh unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them; For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.” – Deuteronomy 20:1-4; read also 2 Cor.10:3-6.

    5. The angel of the LORD in ancient times came to this world as Jesus Christ. He told the unbelieving Jews, “before Abraham was, I am” ( John 8:58). He is the Sun of Righteousness. Malachi stated, “But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.” – Malachi 4:2; Psalm 34:7,8.

Today, the presence of Jesus Christ and God Almighty is felt by the presence of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter or the Spirit of Truth. Said Jesus Christ, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.” – John 12:48; 6:63

Prayer: O LORD God Almighty our Father, help us Father to always take advantage of Your presence to live a comfortable, peaceful and terror free life by willing obedience to thy word, the truth in Jesus’ name. Amen.
