    ALWAYS DO GOOD!

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” – Galatians 6:9

*Comment:* Jesus Christ endured persecution and suffering, yet continued doing good until the end. He even prayed for forgiveness for those who wronged him (Luke 23:34). As Hebrews 12:1-3 reminds us, let us follow the example of Jesus Christ, laying aside sin that easily beset us and run the race of faith with patience, fixing our eyes on Christ who endured the cross and is now seated at the right hand of God.

Do not allow obstacles caused by the devil, his agents, and distractors to make you get tired to do good always. Take solace from the exhortation of St. Peter in 1 Peter 1:13, to wit: “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ” and Jesus Christ revealed to St. John at Patmos Island in Revelation 3:11, “Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.”

My dear brothers and sisters in the Lord, dearly beloved, remember all the words of St. Paul to Christians in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27, “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”

*Prayer:* Our Father who art in heaven. May Thy Great name be glorified forever. We seek Your help to strive continually to do good in Thy sight for us to enjoy Your rich promises in this present world and in the world to come life everlasting through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
