And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” – Luke 17:19
Comment: FAITH in the word of God, the Truth, personified by Jesus Christ was key for miracles to happen in the days of Christ and the early apostles. That was why on many occasions when miracles or wonders had been performed by him, Christ would say “thy faith hath made thee whole” like he told the one out of ten lepers whom he cured that came back to express gratitude. (Luke 17:11-19) and the woman with the issue of blood who touched the border of his garment.(Luke 8:43-48) and so on.
When Jesus Christ walked on water, Peter with faith also walked on water until he started to doubt so he began to sink. Then Jesus Christ held him up and said “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt.” – Matthew 14:25-31.
As faith in the word of God, the truth or message of Salvation was key for miracles, signs and wonders to happen in the early days of Christianity so too faith is key in this last day for miracles, signs and wonders to take place. If you can answer this question of Jesus Christ, then your faith in God and His word shall make thee whole. Jesus Christ questioned, “…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” – (Luke 18:8). If your answer is yes, then show it by deeds of faith and thou shall experience miracles, signs and wonders in your life. Jesus Christ stated, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” – John 8:32,36.
So, miracles happen in this age by faith. Faith in the truth preached. – John 8:31,32
Prayer: Our Great God and Father help us to develop faith in Thee and Thy word so as not to be deceived by false prophets but to obtain manifold blessings in this present world and the Kingdom of God fully established life eternal through Jesus Christ our Lord . Amen.
